BRBNA Partnership will meet    10a-2pm, Friday, December 9

updated about one week in advance of next meeting

Location:
CalPine Visitor Center, Middletown
15500 Central Park Road

Agenda:   Marijuana cultivation is a serious and growing problem for public land managers as well as land trusts and private landowners. Please join us on Friday, December 9 to see an actual site that was discovered on BLM land and learn more about how this problem is being addressed and what land managers can do.

BLM's Rich Burns has generously proposed to guide a field trip to see a marijuana cultivation site, and talk about the challenges posed to land protection and public safety from this type of activity.  Along with Rich, Associate Field Manager Gary Sharpe and Special Agent Matt Knudson will be along to share information and answer questions.   People will need to be prepared for cool wet conditions, poison oak and be in good enough shape to handle a short but steep hike.  Serious rain will cancel. Call me if you are unsure at (707) 265-9205 or cell (707) 227-2141.

We will meet and carpool from the Visitor Center. We will be done no later than 2 p.m.

Bring a bag lunch and water. Some of you have already indicated your interest - please confirm and any others, let us know if you will be attending.
